Flat Tempered Glass

Tempered Glass, which is also referred to as toughened glass, is a type of safety glass, four to five times stronger than regular glass, that is made by a process of controlled thermal or chemical treatments. During this process, the glass is heated and then rapidly cooled, which creates high compression on the outer surfaces and tension in the inner core. When it breaks, it shatters into small, blunt, pebble-like pieces, rather than sharp shards, making it much safer.

Tempered glass is widely used in applications requiring high mechanical strength and safety, such as glass doors, building curtain walls, facade windows, interior partitions, furniture, and partitions away from heat sources and in locations susceptible to severe thermal shocks.
